Good Boy Brewing

○ the situation

Good Boy Brewing emerged from my lifelong admiration for dogs and the beautiful bonds we make with them. A photographer and writer by the name of Roger Caras once said “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole” and he could not be more right.

The inspiration for this passion project came to life with the arrival of Fitz, my recently adopted French Bulldog. A spontaneous illustration of him on my iPad ignited a creative spark, leading to the development of a brand identity centered around one simple, yet endearing, image. The fusion of my love for dogs and the desire to explore beer design found a perfect outlet in Good Boy Brewing.

Life’s better with a cold brew and a dog at your feet.

● the solution

While searching for the ideal name, various options like "Fitz's Pub" and "The French Bulldog Brewhouse" were considered, but none resonated deeply. It was during an ordinary moment with Fitz that inspiration struck. As I gazed at him and affectionately declared, "you're such a good boy!" everything fell into place – Good Boy Brewing was born.

The driving force behind this design is the genuine passion for crafting a brand that captures the essence of life's simple pleasures: good company, great beer, and the unwavering companionship of a loyal dog. "Life's better with a cold brew and a dog at your feet" encapsulates the soul of Good Boy Brewing.

◆ conclusion

This totally fictitious brand design evolved into a genuine passion project for me. Conceptualizing for this endeavor was thoroughly enjoyable, from crafting playful and clever headlines to witnessing everything materialize. I pushed my boundaries to create a comprehensive brand with a variety of assets.
